Tobacco-Cessation

Tobacco Cessation

Quitting smoking is the single best thing that you could do for your health

HOWEVER, most smokers have made at least one attempt to quit in the past, and know first hand that quitting is easier said than done. If you're thinking about quitting, know that you don't have to go it alone.

The WBPCN offers free Smoking Cessation sessions to all residents of Fort McMurray, no referral needed. Participants are offered stress-free appointments with a pharmacist and/or a respiratory therapist, who will explain the quitting process and prescribe smoking cessation medication to help you along your way.

No judgement. No pressure. We get it: our clinical staff understand that relapse is part of the quitting process. Sometimes, it takes a number of tries, a number of conversations, over a number of years. That's okay. We take a judgement-free approach and simply offer support for patients who are reconsidering their tobacco habits.
